Wales - Climbing, Scrambling, Mountains

Rock Climbing Course WalesOur Welsh courses are based in and around the Snowdonia National Park in the heart of North Wales.  This area of Wales has a very high concentration of quality climbing and mountaineering in a small area. Therefore, Wales is a great place to get some rock climbing instruction or take a mountaineering course.

Rock Climbing Instructor WalesThere is a great variety of rock types, and therefore climbing styles. One day you might be maneuvering up a chimney in the Ogwen Valley, then the next be delicately balancing on the small edges in the Slate Quarries.

Routes range from single pitch to long mountain days. If the weather isn’t at its best, there are plenty of other options outside the Park to make sure you get the most out of your course - for example, Tremadog, Holyhead Mountain and the Great Orme often bask in sunshine when the weather is not so good in the mountains.

It's not all about the rock climbing in Wales - the ridge traversing and scrambling are top-class as well. One of the Rock Climbing Course Walesbenefits of Snowdonia is the accessibility of the mountains - within a five minute walk you can be in the mountains!

For winter mountaineering and winter skills courses we recommend Scotland as conditions are more reliable, however we do run courses in Wales as well.
