Our Scottish winter skills courses and Scottish winter mountain courses are based from the beautiful village of Aberfeldy on the banks of the River Tay, close to the geographical centre of Scotland.
Scottish winter skills courses
Our winter skills courses pack in a huge amount of learning into a small amount of time. You will get to grips with ice axes and crampons, navigation, travel on snow and ice, arresting slips and slides, travel on steep ground, weather and snow evaluation and more. Our Scottish Winter Skills Courses are based from the beautiful village of Aberfeldy on the river Tay in a unique location close to the geographical centre of Scotland. Please note that as we run rock climbing holidays and courses in Spain at this time of year some of our winter skills courses are not instructed personally by Ryan Glass. All our winter skills courses are run by experienced, qualified instructors who are active winter mountaineers.

Scottish winter mountain courses
Our winter mountain courses enable you to learn all the skills of a Scottish winter skills course and also to put these skills into practice in the context of quality mountain days. There is a greater emphasis on judgement and decision making and progression towards becoming a competent, independent winter mountaineer able to travel with confidence and safety in Scotland’s Winter Mountains. Our Scottish winter mountain courses are also based from Aberfeldy.
A comprehensive winter mountaineering course would normally last up to five days. You may like to factor in a rest day too so that you get the most out of your course. The content of your course is ultimately up to you - contact us to discuss things further.
