Terry did a 5-day courses in North Wales - to see his course itinerary click here. In an action-packed week he covered movement skills, bouldering, gear placement, learning to lead (trad and sport) and managed to also squeeze in a long mountain day.

Rose and John

Rose and John took a five day Intro to Rock course in Snowdonia. They had previous indoor climbing and mountaineering experience and wanted to extend their rock climbing to the outdoors. They did some single pitch climbing on Holyhead Mountain, rope skills and an intro to multi-pitch at Little Tryfan, some longer multi-pitch routes at Milestone Buttress, a long multi-pitch mountain day in the Ogwen Valley, and finished the week doing some lead climbing at Tremadog.

Iulian

Iulian was keen to learn some rock climbing skills because he wanted to join the Mountain Rescue Team in his home country of Romania. He was keen to progress towards long mountain rock climbs. He took a five day course in Snowdonia covering: movement skills at the RAC boulders and Holyhead Mountain; rope management and belay skills at Little Tryfan; multi-pitch ropework; gear placement and belay construction at the Milestone Buttress; mountain rock climbing decisions and judgements on the Sub Cneifion Rib and the Cneifion Arete; and aspects of training for technique and strength at the indoor wall.
