It is possible that either before or after a course you may want to read more about different aspects of rock climbing and mountaineering, possibly as an aid to consolidate what you learned on your course or to whet your appetite for the areas you are going to be climbing in.
I have listed the best instructional manuals and guidebooks to the areas that we run courses in. Things are constantly changing as new equipment comes on the market and new techniques develop. These books are the most up-to-date ones currently available.

In our opinion, theyr.net provides the most accurate and detailed worldwide weather forecast available. It is updated several times a day (other forecasts don’t do this) and shows hour by hour maps of precipitation, cloud cover, wind speeds and temperatures as well as synoptic charts at three different levels.
